Job Description:
Two (2 positions), Open Rank Professors, tenure-track
The Center for Social and Demographic Analysis (CSDA) of the University at Albany (SUNY) announces a search for two demographers. Both lines are tenure track with discipline and rank open. Applicants should complement the existing strengths of CSDA in migration, segregation, spatial demography, biodemography, population and environment, reproduction, aging and health. Candidates are expected to have well developed funded or fundable research agendas, and to participate in CSDA programs and governance. The lines (and tenure) will be housed in the department of the candidate’s choice, and carry the standard teaching and service load for that department.
Requirements:
The successful candidate must hold a doctoral degree from a university accredited by the U.S. Department of Education or an internationally recognized accrediting organization. Applicants at the assistant professor level must possess a significant record of scholarship and have demonstrated ability to develop an independent, extramurally funded program of research. Applicants for an associate or full professor appointment must have a strong publication record and sustained levels of extramural research support, including an active grant.
Applicants must address in their applications their ability to work with and instruct a culturally diverse population.

Professional Rank and Salary Range:
- Full Professor ($100-120k, for an academic year obligation)
- Associate Professor ($80-100k, for an academic year obligation)
- Assistant Professor ($60-80k, for an academic year obligation, depending on experience)
